Green Evénements is the first agency in France to organize sustainable events following the standard BS8901.
BS8901 addresses successful event management that contributes to a stronger society while reducing its impact on the environment.
This standard is written following the fashion of British Standards BS5750 (which led to ISO 9001) and BS7750 (ISO 14001). It is the very first standard to identify a system of sustainable management practices applied specifically to event organization.
A ISO committee is currently working on creating ISO20121 based on BS8901.
More than 50 event management agencies around the world (United Kingdom, United States, Europe and Southeast Asia) are currently integrating it.
The London Summer Olympic Games in 2012 are being organized following BS8901.
Green Evénements organized its first event following BS8901 on September 23rd, 2009, in Paris. It consisted of a one-day seminar for 50 people in eastern Paris.
